April 2015 Highlights . . .ummm surprise we're Expecting!

The Conference store opened on Easter Sunday and we had so much fun learning from and listening to the great men and women who lead our church.

My mom came to stay again for another month to help out since my health was not improving much.  Thank goodness this great women is so amazing and has such a serving heart, she has saved my life more than once and having her in our home is always a blessing.  She helped us pick out some bikes for the girls to kick off the spring sunshine.!

The local Daffodil parade was lots of fun to watch and of course my girls always love the Daffodil Princess float

Got ready to go in for another surgery and got the surprise of our lives. . .as you can see, one positive was not enough so I took two. . .and then went in for a blood test to confirm because we literally thought this would never happen again without fertility help.  This is definitely not an opportune time to be pregnant given my poor health issues, but I figure that God knows everything so much better than me and if he is blessing us with another miracle then he will take care of me.  So excited for Baby Betts' #4
"The Gang's all  here!  Good Night!"

I'm pregnant, surgery is postponed, and meanwhile Scott crashes and totals his car and gets to wear this lovely neck brace for a couple weeks. . .oh wow does our life never cease to amaze!

These two are the best little buddies, I love watching them together

We attempted a family picture on Easter Sunday
Not the greatest picture of myself but I love having pictures for Family History with my Grandparents..

March 2015

My kidneys attempted to take over me again . . .luckily I'm getting really good at surviving sepsis. . .no this isn't funny I know but by the grace and mercy of the Lord I survived another bout of sepsis caused by my kidney stones/infections and spent a while in the hospital.  Not fun for anyone.
She figured since olives are such nice finger accessories why can't raspberries do the same!
According to the "Feelings Buried Alive" book I apparently have some unresolved anger . . .hmmm, let's just pretend we didn't read that!
Adelaide finished crocheting her hat that she's been working on to donate to children who need warm hats for the winter.
Yes we are getting quite skilled at selfies I must say!
Our yearly trip to the theater this year was to see "Cinderella". . .Abigail lasted a whole 30 minutes, I think we will continue to just watch movies at home.

Made some Irish Pasties.(that's Pah-stees, not pay-steez just in case you were confused) for St Patrick's Day this year.  I remember that my Great Aunt Batsy used to make these and I loved them and when I was a teenager my mom used to pack them in our lunches.  I owe her a lot because these are a labor of love to make I must admit

The execution of the Leprechaun trap was technically flawless this year. . .but darn that sneaky little guy, he escaped once again!

Finished another aghan. . .this being sick stuff is killing me
It got a little too quiet one day and when we finally found Abigail she goes, "ta da look at my painted fingernails and toes!"  I'd say her and the sharpie did pretty darn good for a 2 year old.

We colored Easter Eggs and painted Easter pictures with Caitlyn and Lewis this year

 Everyone loved Avonleah's Minion egg.

Great Grandpa Jarvis unexpectedly stopped by to surprise us

Happy Birthday Adelaide and Happy Valentine's Day 2015

Dolphin themed party. . .I know I know my cake decorating skills are superb, thank you pinterest.  Please don't compare this with any actual cake on pinterest unless of course you look up "pinterest fails!"

Meanwhile in the other corner of the house, it's all about Valentine's Day.. .it's not always easy having girls with holiday birthdays.  You gotta make them feel special while not forgetting the holiday for everyone else.
She got a baby foal to go with her mommy horse.  .She's so darling.  I love our sweet six year old!
I gave in and attending this stamping crafty get together and let me tell you these little items were not easy to make.  I couldn't give them away because they required to much effort to make.  I'm saving them for something special hahaha!

February 2015 Highlights

All my kidney issues have left me with a lot of down time to fill so I finished this crochet afghan this month and . . .
Cousins Caitlyn taught me how to knit, which by the way I am still terrible at

Prissy little Abigail always putting on accessories before climbing the couch or to the top of the pantry

Abigail was thrilled with her music leading skills and demanded to lead the song at morning devotional while standing on a stool using her "wand"
Ahhh science projects. . .volcanoes are so much fun.  Of course we did this messy experiment over the kitchen sink!
Playdates and clapping games were popular this month
She likes kissing Daddy's "bald head!"
And yes she's still leading music
This picture cracks me up because I sent it to my mom and she was all "Did Scott grow his hair out?"  Ummm, yes mom, suddenly scott is no longer bald and grew lovely golden locks over night. . .heee heee I love this picture though!
We had a campout in the living room, told some scary stories by the fire. . place, played some wild games, and tried to sleep all night in our sleeping bags, but by morning we all were in our cozy beds.  Oh well at least we tried
