We recently had a throw up incident in the car and since we were a ways from home we did a big car seat swap...adelaide use Avonleah's, Abigail use Adelaide's...you get the picture. Anyway Avonleah was thrilled to not have a booster for once and here's the conversation that ensued,
Avonleah: I wish I didn't have to have a car seat
Me: you have to be like 75 pounds to not have a booster
Avonleah *whaaaatface* : 75 pounds?!!! But I would be FAT!!!
Me: ummm no you wouldn't because you'd grow taller too.
Avonleah: ohhhhh so you just need to grow taller mom...
Me:*facepalm*
And for the record I know it may sound like I have a very rude child but if you knew Avonleah you would know that she is just very literal and because of her logical linear thinking she often doesn't understand the boundaries of what is socially acceptable to say...we are working on this :). And I love her even though her brutal honesty sometimes hurts my pride.
