Well it's officially almost my stinkerbug Adelaide's 2nd Birthday. In honor of her upcoming day here's a few new things about her this week!
She officially has hair long enough for a ponytail. . .she's so proud of it and walks around like Jan from the Brady Bunch hoping it will swing like Avonleah's!
She has figured out that she is capable of doing everything herself . . .with the help of step stools and kitchen chairs and any other standonable item of course. Today she decided to try using the microwave herself (she set it for 25:00. . .hello fire hazard) She then proceeded to climb up to the bathroom sink and brush her teeth getting toothpaste all over herself and the counter in the process. The funniest part of the day is after her shower when she tries to put her diaper on herself. . .maybe we should get serious about potty training huh?. I'm pretty sure we've reached the "I can do it by MYSELF" stage!
She is extremely particular about just about everything from clothing to food. I constantly remind her that you cannot live on chocolate and chicken nuggets, that staying in footy pajamas all day is only okay say . . .once a week, your new bug rain boots from Boo Boo Grandma are not acceptable for church or bed, and having an all out freakout over a small piece of hair on your finger is not acceptable. Thank goodness we have also entered the stage of favorites because now we get to watch Little Einsteins over and over and over, and she's constantly changing out of her clothes to put on her fluffy pink skirt and boots EVERY DAY. It was just like a month ago that I was bribing her with M&M's to even put a skirt on. She is just a whole wonderful world of independence and I have so much fun watching her grow and discover.
