I couldn't let Ethnee got back to Utah without experiencing downtown Seattle on a Saturday morning! We went to Pike Place Market for a little pig kissing, fish throwing, and of course odd people spotting! Ethnee kept vacillating between giggling and acting somewhat horrified at the absurdities and amazingness of such a collection of people! We witnessed crazy moss covered balloon clown, a man who plays a saw, a street corner entertainer with a full size piano he carted around, and of course a guy who stopped us to ask us to take a picture of his eyeballs popping out of his head! It was so fun to watch her drink in the whole experience and then we walked up to Seattle Center, Olympic Sculpture Park (which by the way is a real drag . . .there's like a few huge sculptures and a bunch of orange traffic cones. . hmmmm, not like the pictures on the Internet claimed), then of course down to the pier. We let her experience her first real fish and chips and red clam chowder and the best part was when she finally really let loose and starting chasing pigeons and seagulls on the pier, she was so hilarious. It was an amazing day although we walked A LOT of miles!

What a gorgeous day, in Oct, no less, to "do" Seattle! Great pics, and thanks for the tip on the sculpture garden...I've been wanting to go, so thanks for saving me the time! I still want to see the remodeled aquarium, and my girls have never been to Pike's. It was on my list all summer and somehow, we never made it. Gotta go kiss that pig!
