We've been studying Little House in the Big Woods for Literature this past few weeks and Avonleah and Adelaide are enthralled with the idea of moving to the middle of nowhere and living a pioneerish life. We created paper dolls and learned to make homemade butter and bread . . .yummy yummy goodness! We talked about having no electricity and no modern toys. . .the girls are loving trying to be like Laura and Mary Ingalls. I love the idea of teaching my girls to live a simpler more holistic style of life so this has been a fun little experiment. Now if only we could afford to buy our own little house in the big woods. . . someday.
