So March 20th is supposed to be the official first day of spring. . .ummm hello could someone remember to inform Mother Nature. We are still in the thick of dreary, rainy, bone chilling cold weather. My girls actually pray for sunlight, not even sunshine but "sunlight" and because it never comes out we just bundle up, put on our puddle stompers and play in the rainy cold. Yesterday the "sunlight" was out so we hit the local park and played until the rain got too boisterous to handle. My girls still don't like swinging and I die laughing because Adelaide just does this high pitched scream if I even ask her to try out a swing and Avonleah trieds to be brave but ends up with a completely white face ready to throw up after just a couple swings. Despite the pending motion sickness, Avonleah braved the saucer swing for like one "not an underdog" push and Adelaide tried out the in-ground merry-go-round. Since when did playgrounds get so safe? The ground at the playground is like this squishy rubber stuff, you can't even get a good skinned knee from it! I told the girls we'd have to go elsewhere when it was time to get our "summer knees." We had fun and although it was freezing we loved running around in the rain. (P.S. notice "Scary" and "Larry" in their camoflauge pants hanging the background of the first picture . . .eeewww parks are not so safe)
