Ethnee's In the Hoouuussee!!

Ethnee is my littlest sister . . .she's 14 years younger than me.  I was in high school before she even joined our family and most of my memories of her childhood revolve around what I knew of her when I came home from college to visit.  As we've gotten older it's been really fun to cultivate a strong relationship as sisters despite our age difference and now I am really blessed to have her as a friend.  We share a lot of common experiences and we've learned a lot from each other.  On this trip she kept me up way too late and I turned into that irresponsible parent who sleeps through her alarm and facilitates her daughters tardiness to Kindergarten. . .ahem. .
She's also a really great aunt. . .even though she won't let my girls call her "Aunt Ethnee" because she says it sounds too old, she is a really amazing and my daughters love her so much.  I am really grateful that despite our differences and common stubborness (wink wink) we are bonded as sisters and have really grown close together.  She graces us with her amazing presence every October/November and we're always so excited to see her.  This year was a little more "low key" than most because it was pouring rain most days, we only have one working vehicle, and our family finances are really tight as we work to eliminate our debt.  So we stayed close to home and had fun just being together.
Adelaide loved Ethnee's shoe collection and kept modeling them. . .Ethnee later surprised her with a special pair of cute boots that she know wears ALL THE TIME!!
Pop rocks were a big hit with Avonleah. . .Adelaide was quite hesitant and not sure about the whole experience!

We tried to get some pictures together
Some turned out . . .
Others . . .not so much. . .thank you Avonleah for forcing Adelaide to smile!!!
I love you little sister!!
