September and October have been filled with new and exciting developments in both my girls. For the sake of Grandparents and Family far away here's a quick run down of what they've learned!
- Adelaide has figured out how to throw a fall on the floor, roll back and forth, crying, screaming tantrum . . .thank goodness for our Love and Logic parenting skills because all I have to say is, "Uh-Oh, how sad, Adelaide has to go to time out" and she stops and heads to the time out. . .wait that's what's supposed to happen but we're still working on that ha ha!
- Avonleah has finally put all the stuff to together in her little brain and has become an amazing reader! She prides herself on being able to read her verses at family scripture time all by herself!
- Adelaide likes to dress and undress herself. . .multiple times a day . . .she comes out of the bedroom with shirts around her neck, one leg in and one leg out of some pants and says, "Ta Da!" And when we begin to laugh she says, "I so silly!" and bends her head down and fake laughs!
- Avonleah's teacher actually told me that she is the most responsible girl in the class and has been given some opportunities for leadership. She gets to be the one who calls the office when the child with epilepsy has a seizure, she is the last one out of the classroom for the fire drill and shuts the door and turns the lights out (do I really want her to be the last one out hmmm), and she gets to help other kids with questions when she's done with her work because she's kind of a little smarty pants. We're proud of her accomplishments and great growth!
