Avonleah was promised that when Scott got his "bigger job" she could have the Princess Roller Skates and the Princess Slippers she had enviously spied while on a shopping spree clear back in November. She has been the picture of perfect patience and surprisingly has not forgotten the promise, and I on the other hand, have endured the too-many-to-count trips to Target that have usually ended in a burst of tears and broken hearted wails, because in my mothering madness I forgot to explain that even when Dad got the "bigger job" we would still have to wait for the "bigger paychecks" to actually buy the Princess items. We finally got the roller skates (slippers are out of stock, wink wink) and she got all decked out in her fine roller derby outfit to put in some practice time and show off her long awaited treasures! Please note the elbow and knee guards . . .are those seriously necessary?

I think she needs a purple and pink princess helmet to go with the other pads, too. You never can be too careful skating in the house, you know! ;)
Good on you for teaching her to wait, instead of just charging it!
