Ah the joys of the first real snow experience, not the small flurries of snowflakes that happen in Washington, but the mounds of marshmallow-ee snow only found in Utah. Uncle D got Avonleah all "Ralphied" out (A Christmas Story Movie in case you're confused) in her brand new ultra coat that Uncle Jake and Aunt Nessa gave her, and told her they were going to go and make "face prints" in the snow. She had no qualms about sticking her face in the snow so make a print. We laughed and laughed as she put her little face in the snow over and over again so she could "lick it like a puppy!" and just watching those little legs struggle to walk was so hilarious (help, I can't move my arms!). It takes me back to the days when all the cousins would go sledding at the cinder pit and we spent the day freezing our tooshies off because it was so cold and "they" didn't make snow gear very waterproof/winterproof back in the "old days." This is what the Christmas Holidays are all about, having fun, relaxing, freezing in the snow and just being together.

If she gets any cuter you are going to have a serious problem on your hands! What a doll! You seem to capture the magic of childhood in her pics. You are amazing and I love and miss you! Lick the snow one time for me... make sure it is not yellow and then hurry in and have some hot cocoa! XOXO love ya!
