It's Independence Day again and man did we do it up right . . .ahem . . .just kidding we really were laid back losers this year and did nothing but . . .focus on the great men and women who fight for our freedom and the birthday of our great nation. . .right?! because that's what this day is all about :).
We found out that not only is it so dang hard to get three girls to pose for a picture. . .it's impossible to get them all to look at the camera at the same time
We discovered Avonleah was perfectly content to swap stories all day with her fellow firefighters in the truck while Adelaide was downright scared that if she sat in the truck longer that 1 split second they would drive off and "steal her" *whaaaatface?*
We did enjoy our annual trek to Enumclaw for a downhome parade that lasted all of 35 minutes . . .yep perfect amount of time for children stocking up on candy and popsicles and way too long for little Abigail who kept crying at all the loud noises . .boo hoo.
Luckily we convinced our children that fireworks are illegal in our town and so after a little BBQ with friends and a couple sparklers it was off to our home for showers and bed. . .and then staying up for 5 more hours because of all the people who missed the "illegal fireworks" memo and made our town sound like an Afghan war zone.
