Spring Break!

Well it's spring break and since it's still dumping rain and a measly 43 degrees here in Washington, our prospects for spring fun are a bit limited.  Avonleah of course made a list of everything she wanted to do this week, her list includes; hunting (umm perhaps scott is swaying her enviromentalist, save the dolphins attitudes a little more to his side!), fishing (because she thinks she'll really like eating a real fish that she catches, should I tell her a dolphin is kind of like a mammalish fish?!), planting a tree (smile), going to the zoo to see the new leopards and sea turtle, buying new toys of course, and a play date with a friend. 

Of course we won't be accomplishing all those things this week but here's a start.  I surpised the girls today with a picnic at the mall and a ride on the carousel followed by a pant shopping excursion at Old Navy for Avonleah who definitely needs a medal for being able to wear jeans out faster than any child I've known!  We got to see the Easter Bunny andI of course got a lecture from Avonleah for taking us in the wrong entrance so we passed the "not modest stores with pictures of people who DID NOT respect their bodies" ha ha but then the carousel made everything ok.  Adelaide was having a great time on her "chicken" until it started to move. . .then she cried the entire ride and asked to "get me off this thing!"  Tomorrow I think we'll have a beach party indoors. . .maybe fill up the tub, put on swimsuits, drink fruity slushees with umbrellas and lay out on our towels and listen to summer music!
