We planned a vacation but since our poor little Avonleah had some dental emergencies this past week we switched up our vacation plans and took an "in town vacation!" We went to the movies, went out to dinner one night at our favorite Italian restaurant and spent a day at the beach. We spent lots of time playing outside, riding bikes and hanging out together and definitely not enough time sleeping! It's been fun to have Scott home for almost 3 whole days before he starts another 6 weeks of long night shifts boo hoo! I guess since he'll be gone so much I'll have time to catch up on being a lazy housekeeper this weekend!
Hanging out before getting to go and see the movie "Chimpanzee". . . my girls LOVE nature and animal documentaries so this was a perfect movie for them. I think Avonleah's poses are absolutely hilarious, she can't just take a "normal" picture anymore!
We spent a day at the beach collecting shells, sand dollars, building sand castles, wading in the icy cold water, and finally getting some much anticipated sun!
*sigh* no matter how hard we try we can't take those cool pictures like all the young kids, at least we got part of both of our faces and our smiles right!!!
