Now You See It, Now You Don't!!

We been trying to get Avonleah's sicknasty health issues resolved for the last few months, and so today was the big colonoscopy to remove some polyps that have been causing some issues! I will spare you all the details because it's on the verge of disgusting but because she was so brave and has been such a trooper through this whole ordeal we decided to document the experience.
Stocking up on Jolly Ranchers, apple juice, and flavored waters for the great 24 hour clear liquid diet fast. She has no idea how horrible this is going to be, no four year old should ever have to drink magnesium citrate(laxatives), it literally took me two hours of coaxing to get her to swallow 4 ounces of the disgusting stuff. The hilarious part was that she got herself so worked up that she would do this horrendous gagging thing after each swallow. . . .DRAMA
20 hours later not too happy with the whole situation . . .poor thing
Pat the Bear and Toe Bear hanging out while the numbing cream on her hands goes to work
After the IV got put in she got to play in the play kitchen in her hospital gown until the procedure time
Now you see the polyp and now you don't(sicknast I know)!!! Yeah sent off to the lab for tests to make sure it's benign, nine out of ten are non cancerous so we're feeling confident!
Waking up to eat a popsicle, still a little groggy, thank goodness we had a good anesthesiologist administering the propofol!
There's our girl . . .showing off her purple popsicle tongue
Finally on the way home. . .a little wobbly and nauseous from the anesthesia but okay. Thank you for all your prayers, we'll keep you posted after the test results.

It's so hard to watch kids go through things like this. I hope she's feeling better now!
